Metallic Threads

METALLIC GIMPS - Great variety of metal plied with silky colours in a very soft gimp. Could be stitched, better for couching. Approximately equivalent to Perle 5.

PERLE LIGHTS - A beautifully subtle multi shaded metallic perle thread. I would use this more for couching or stitching into a lose weave fabric. For embroidery use in short lengths to avoid distressing the thread. Approximately equivalent to Perle 8 or finer.

PERLE MAJESTICS - These are a coarse but soft metallic perle thread. Subtle & antique metallic colours which are plied with black. Great for stitching, couching & for canvas work. Approximately equivalent to Perle 1.

METALLIC KNITS - Very soft knitted metallic yarn again subtle in colour with gold/black & silver black. Great also for stitching. Approximately equivalent to Perle 3 when stretched.
